How to Get Your Iowa Driving Record
The Iowa DOT offers a variety of online services, including obtaining a noncertified driving record for free. If you need a certified driving record, it can be purchased online or requested by mail. Businesses and organizations seeking records should use this designated portal.
To log in for services, you'll need your driver's license or ID number, the last five digits of your Social Security number and your full name as it appears on your ID.
Also, Iowa residents should ensure their driver's license or ID has a REAL ID gold star by May 7, 2025, to comply with federal travel and facility access requirements. Non-REAL ID licenses will be marked as "NOT FOR REAL ID ACT PURPOSES."
